Founded in 1998 and based in the Netherlands, U and I Optic Instrument supplies pre-owned and refurbished optical and ophthalmic equipment to eye-care professionals worldwide.
We specialize in purchasing, refurbishing, repairing and exporting equipment for opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, clinics and hospitals. Since 2012, our main focus has been the international supply of refurbished ophthalmic instruments, making quality equipment accessible at competitive prices.
A Personal Connection to Optics
My name is Daniel Sadr, founder of U and I Optic Instrument. I am a qualified optician and contact lens specialist, and I come from a family with a long history in the optical industry.
Growing up around optics, I have seen our industry develop from traditional instruments to advanced digital imaging and diagnostic technologies. That experience has shaped both my technical understanding and my appreciation for well-built equipment.
Many instruments still have years of useful service ahead of them. Giving them a second life is at the heart of our business.
Giving Equipment a Second Life
Responsible reuse allows us to extend the life of professional equipment and reduce unnecessary waste.
Each instrument is carefully inspected, serviced and tested before shipment, with calibration carried out where required. Our aim is to supply reliable, fully functional equipment that is ready to use.
Our range includes autorefractors, lensmeters, phoropters, tonometers, slit lamps and keratometers, alongside OCT systems, fundus cameras, surgical microscopes and other ophthalmic instruments. We regularly work with equipment from manufacturers such as Topcon, ZEISS, NIDEK, Huvitz, Essilor and Heidelberg Engineering.
Technical Support Beyond the Sale
Our experienced technical team handles testing, servicing and repairs. We also draw on a trusted international network of technicians, specialists and industry partners when additional expertise is needed.
Our relationship with a customer continues after delivery. If assistance is required, we offer remote support and practical guidance, working with our team and specialist network to help find a solution.
